Yes, it is possible to access the Refuge by car.

However, it is strictly necessary to drive a 4×4 car with a low-speed transmission.

You can access the Refuge via the Gypaète trail (2h30 walk) or by road (1h30 walk).

The most used path is the road. You can park your car in the parking of Burzier (Sallanches) and walk up the road to the Refuge very easily, especially for kids.

Yes, we can provide one if requested when booking.

We can also provide bedding for the baby bed.

We have 2 private rooms in the Refuge.

One for 2 people and one for 2 or 3 people.

No, there is no unguarded side in winter.

The Refuge de Doran is powered by solar panels and generators.

There is also hot water, heated with wood.

Bookings are available from May 8, 2026.

In May, the refuge is open from Friday to Sunday evening.

In June, September, and October, the refuge is open from Wednesday to Sunday evening.

In July and August, the refuge is open every day.

The refuge is closed during the winter. We will reopen in May 2025.
